Paint brushes, rollers and accessories kit

Tools That Match Your Paint and Your Project

The quality of your application tools directly affects your finished result. A cheap roller sleeve can leave texture in your walls. The wrong brush can cause streaks and drag marks. We stock products that we'd use ourselves.

Whether you're rolling a large interior wall, cutting in around window frames, applying a deck oil, or painting a fence — we can help you find the right tool at the right price.

Brush & Roller Questions

For smooth walls and ceilings, use a short nap (6–10mm). For slightly textured surfaces, a medium nap (12–15mm). For rough render, brick or heavily textured surfaces, a thick nap (18–38mm) will work paint into the surface better. Ask us and we'll sort you out.
Synthetic bristle brushes work best with water-based (acrylic) paints. Natural bristle brushes are preferred for oil-based paints, stains and varnishes as they hold more product. Using natural bristles with water-based paint can cause them to go soft and limp.
For water-based paint, rinse in warm water and wash with mild soap, working from the heel to the tip. For oil-based paint, clean in mineral turpentine before washing with soap. Store brushes hanging or flat — never standing on bristles. We sell brush cleaning tools in store.
