Ladder & Pole Questions

For standard 2.4m ceilings, a 1.2–1.5m pole is usually enough when combined with a roller frame. For higher ceilings, a 1.8–2.4m pole will let you work comfortably from floor level. We stock a range — come in and we'll match you to the right length.
For smaller step ladders and extension poles, buying often makes sense as you'll use them repeatedly around the house. For larger extension ladders or platform equipment that you might only use once, hiring can be the more practical option. Ask us and we'll give you an honest answer.
Both work well. Aluminium is lighter and more affordable. Fibreglass is electrically non-conductive, making it safer if there's any risk of contact with electrical wiring. For most painting projects around the home, aluminium is perfectly fine.
